All backgrounds on this site now cover the whole screen!

My Personal Blog

  • This Girl's Take

For These Backgrounds To Work You Have To Do This!!:

First, you need to change your layout to bloggers 'minima' background.

Then, you need to edit the 'html' of your page. Click on 'customize'. Then click on the tab that says 'edit html'. Scroll down to where it says:

body {background:$bgcolor;margin:0; color:$textcolor; font:x-small Georgia Serif; font-size/* */:/**/small; font-size: /**/small; text-align: center;

Your going to change that part of the code to say:

body {background:$bgcolor;background-image:url(direct link);background-position: center; background-repeat:no-repeat; background-attachment: fixed;margin:0; color:$textcolor; font:x-small Georgia Serif; font-size/* */:/**/small; font-size: /**/small; text-align: center;

Then find a background that you like and copy and paste the link between the parenthesis where it says direct link.

You can now preview your page by clicking preview. If you like it then click on save and you will have your new background.

Once you've saved your background you may need to edit the color of your font so that it shows better on your page.
One of the greatest things about the backgrounds found on this site is that, unlike pyzam and some of those other sites, your widgets will not be deleted when you add a new background. These backgrounds are like a wallpaper that just cover the blogger backgrounds.

Sam"s Scraps

This blog is full of blogger backgrounds that I have designed for your use. If you have any suggestions or requests just let me know, and if you download anything please leave some love. Thanks! Enjoy!

Just FYI

I make the layouts on this page but I did not make the paper or elements that make up the layouts. I got most of these papers and elements off of digi free (see link below). I didn't save the personal info on the many people who created these wonderful papers and elements. So if you happen across this site and you did design any of the papers on here please leave a comment with your info and I will add a link to your site. Thanks to all of you who devote so many hours to all the wonderful designs!
